Every journey has a story. Ours is built on movement, resilience and the people we meet along the way. Meet Max and Sheena, the owners, operators, designers and hands-on testers behind Raven 425 and The Raven Compound in Scotch Creek, BC.
Raven’s roots run back to CrossFit in Canmore. As Max and Sheena travelled to competitions across Canada, they wore their apparel, put it through demanding workouts and refined the designs through real experience. The goal was simple: create clothing they wanted to wear, with comfort and movement at its heart.
The journey took Max to Maui, where a semi-pro surfer sparked a new challenge: shorts that could move from ocean waves to CrossFit training. For Max, it was another opportunity to test ideas and bring Raven’s active spirit into a different setting.
In 2020, the pandemic brought a return to family and familiar roots. Max moved from Maui to the North Shuswap, where his family had lived for more than 25 years. In Scotch Creek, Max and Sheena built The Raven Compound into a welcoming place for locals to gather, grab a bite and discover Raven apparel.
Today, the Raven story reaches beyond clothing, from the café and Contrast by Raven to the adventures of Raven Ryda. Each is part of the same spirit: embracing life, celebrating resilience and making room for connection.
